COMPUTER AID DESIGN
Design a video game controller using Autodesk Fusion 360 and construct technical drawings for each component. The assembly was put together and generated motion for the buttons. Motion analysis and FEA were conduct to examine the mechanical and working quality of the product
HEAT TRANSFER
Analyze the heat transfer process within the 1300 Watt hair dryer to find the actual temperature of the copper wire. By researching the mechanical characteristic of the material and the specification of the product, the process of heat transfer was simulated by thermal circuit and mass flow rate. The final temperature was concluded after calculating the data collected.
measurements laboratory
Design a project to measure the airflow velocity and acceleration using the wind tunnel and measurement devices in the manufacturing lab. The project was conducted and observed in differentent restriction areas. Data was then collected for the calculation and analysis of the wind velocity.
material process
Manufacture a hammer according to a process plan. By using the engine lathe, threading tap and band saw to perform the required operations, components were assembled with thread hole to give the final product
design of mechanism
Design a linkage mechanism to operate the four-bar linkage with a dyad system to move from one given position to another. By using MathCad to solve for position, velocity, acceleration, the motion of the system was analyzed to fit the requirements. A cardboard model was then built to visualize the project outcome.
computational fluid dynamic
Using ANSYS Workbench to simulate the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) of different setting such as laminar, turbulent pipe flow, multiple inlets, burner gas flame, cylinder, airfoil, wind turbine, etc. The results were analyzed by FEA to predict the effect of airflow on CAD design and optimize system dimension and geometry for better performance.
electrical engineering
Using Arduino toolkit and programming language to install open-source electronics platforms with different application such as LED blinking, LCD display, temperature and humidity monitoring, distance measuring using ultrasonic sensor, etc.
